Pipe manufacturing and processing is a multi-step process in which lubricants are an important part. The lubricants must meet different requirements depending on the area of application.
For pipe processing, lubricants are used in sawing applications that both reduce friction and have good cooling properties.
When producing seamless pipes by forming, forming lubricants are used that are specifically designed for high friction forces. Other necessary properties include good adhesion, high temperature stability and corrosion protection so that corrosion does not occur when the pipes are stacked and stored.
